A combination of lavender, chamomile, and magnesium flakes that is not only a boost to the senses, but also an incredible muscle relaxer!

Ingredients

1 empty muslin bag

1/4 cup dried lavender blooms

1/4 cup dried chamomile blooms

1/2 cup magnesium flakes

Optional – 5 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine dried lavender and chamomile blooms with magnesium flakes.
  2. Spoon the combined mixture into an empty muslin bag.
  3. If desired, when the muslin bag is filled, add 5 to 10 drops lavender essential oil.
  4. Tie the bag shut either with the tie attached to it, or with a piece of twine.
  5. Store these bags in a cool, dry, dark place—a mason jar or a small tin works beautifully.

Notes

Keeping these bags away from direct sunlight and humidity will help preserve the color and scent of the dried lavender and chamomile for longer. Properly stored, homemade bath teabags can typically last several months before the herbs start to lose their potency and fragrance.
